Colour swap

Happy Monday morning. A new week and I feel like a new start. My computer is now fixed, thanks to my IT technician (my son Eric) he spent hours upgrading and doing all the necessary, now I just have to learn to use it all. Making new cards has been a bit slow, as so much happening. My family from Netherlands are still here, although son Steven returned home last night, the rest are still around fro 2 weeks, so more fun with them. Now about this card.

I made it for a colour swap with the theme - Red, black and white.

Paper: White card, matted with black and DP is printed download from "Bearly Mine" designs - red gingham.
Image: All night media coloured with twinkling H20's, and cut with a nestability.
Embellishments: red ribbon and flat blacked pearls.

I will try and get up some new things soon. Have a wonderful week and warm wishes.

Back in blogland

I can't believe how long it is since I have posted anything. What a hectic couple of weeks we have had. My family arrived first we=k of July from the Netherlands, and then we went to the "bush" for a week, with most of the family joining us, at a lovely "Bush camp" where we relaxed and caught up with all the news. Had a great time doing game drives, walks, reading, just enjoying the family. Back home to prepare for MIL's 98th birthday last Sunday, with again all the SA family and the Dutch contingent present. A wonderful day for everyone and especially MIL. Now to try and get back to work, with the family still around at times.

This card was made in such a hurry, but still managed a photo as we were almost out of the door.
Card - brown cardstock put through the cuttlebug.
Image - Mo's digital from the "Big guy" series coloured with watercolour pencils
Sentiment - from Great impressions.

As I said had to be a very quick card, and the inside had a pouch for a gift voucher. Sorry time didn't allow for another photo.

That's it from me. Have a great day, and I will be back with some more soon. No long absence hopefully.

No cards, but a lot happening

Hello friends,
No I haven't given up, just so much happening. I haven't made a card in weeks, been making a few swaps, but can't show those yet. I will be MIA for a week as my family from Netherlands arrive this morning and tomorrow we are all off to the bush about 300kms north for a big gathering. Most local family joining us, except one son, hopefully he will get in a day and night with us all. He is in the hotel industry and as many of you know we have a little game of fottball happening here in SA. which is keeping him on his toes, flitting around. I have been visiting a few blogs, not making much comments, but will catch up and post again from mid July. Have fun everyone and enjoy your weather wherevr you are. Root for HOLLAND

I am still around

Hello friends,
First a warm welcome to my new blogging friends. Sorry I have not been active for over aweek, but several things causing this. First work I guess. My family arrive next Wednesday from Netherlands, so of course lots to do before they get here. Have to make sure all orders are delivered, etc. as we go away with them for a week the day after arrival.
Next BIG issue my PC Does anyone know if there is a Union for PC's, as mine has joined them on a go slow. FRUSTRATION is an understatement, but my "technical team" (my son), will hopefully sort it out on the weekend.
I have been visiting, but not leaving comments, as that becomes a major issue.
Have a great weekend all, I hope to get some cards posted before going away.
Warm wishes
