Buzzy Bee.. colours

Happy Sunday friends. The first week back has flown by, and I am now back into the normal run of things. A pewter workshop tomorrow, so had some prep to do and a sample to finish. I needed to make a card for 2 challenges, and got it in just in the nick of time. A plain but quick card today.
The first challenge is on PCP. calling for colours of a bee. Yellow black and white
The second challenge is for The outlawz Monday greeting card.. no stamped images only a sentiment.
Paper... white card, matted with black and yellow gingham DP.. no name
Punched border with MS punch
Silhouette cut with a Marianne designs die.
Black flourish
Yellow flower and finished off with black pearls

Wishing you all a wonderful week ahead.

Anything but cute

Happy Friday friends.
Winter has truly arrived to this part of South Africa. Freezing temperatures last night, with white lawns this morning. Frost not snow, but at least the sun is shining.
I am having a bit of a battle getting back into card making. This one is for PCP challenge this month,(Anything but cute) which I will just make. It required text or torn paper, so this is what I used.

Paper .. matted pink and brown cardstock.
Image.. text stamp from Great Impressions, stamped and then the edges of the paper torn.
Finished off with a flower I made out of some DP, with a flourish and pearls.
Haven't finished off the inside as I will have to decide who will receive it.
I would like to extend a warm welcome to my new blogging friends. It is lovely to see new faces.
Hope you all have a wonderful weekend.

Prick and stitch...what fun.

Good morning friends,
I am starting to get into a normal routine, and over the jet lag and the holiday feeling. Have started making cards and a few are in the post, so they will be shown when they have reached their destination. Will get to do some challenges now. I did however make one card while on holiday. I took with me some prick and stitch patterns to do, as somehow at home I don't get round to doing that many and I was able to make a complete card, with some freebies out of a magazine. I wanted a thank you card for a friend. So here it is.
Well the weekend is almost here, and with that our first week back at home, with really cold weather arriving as well. I guess it is now really into winter woolies. Will be back soon.

Back home ..... May calendar

Happy Sunday to all my friends. Well I am back home after a lovely relaxing holiday with our son and family in New Zealand. Now have to try and get back into work mode, not easy after 6 weeks of R & R, but I am really keen to get back into crafting.
Before the month of May disappears I would like to show the page from my calendar. This was made by Jana Kasselman and it is a lovely feminine page, no doubt she had Mother's day in mind for this..
I hope to have some ards to show soon, as I better get onto the birthday cards that I need.
Enjoy the rest of the weekend, take care, and will be back soon.

Farewell...... New Zealand

Sadly our holiday here is now over, as all good things must come to an end. We say goodbye to our family tomorrow and head back on the long trip to South Africa. I had hoped to post some photos while we were here, but it just did not work out, so hopefully next week when back home will put a few photos up.
I will certainly have fun making some cards again, and playing with a few new purchases.
Till next week, take care and have a wonderful weekend.
