A Maggie for a change

Hello friends,
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend, and that you are ready for an exciting week ahead, It is also the start of a new month, and here for us in the Southern Hemisphere, August can mean some warmer days ahead, with spring peeping round the corner.
I had hoped to do some posting a few days ago, but life just suddenly seemed to think differently. Anyway here I am with another card.
I am entering it in a few challenges:

Outlawz ..http://outlawzchallenges.ning.com/... Monday greeting card... anything but square
Simon Says http://http//simonsaysstampschallenge.blogspot.com/.. Shaped card
Tip Top Tuesday ..http://toptiptuesday.blogspot.com/... Make it Girlie
Anything goes ..http://anythingchallenge.blogspot.com/....Pick of the bunch...flowers
Sew Many challenges ..http://www.sewmanychallenges.com/.. Anything goes
All Sorts..http://allsortschallenge.blogspot.com/.. Free n Easy

This is what I did:
Paper: White cardstock, DP. Wilson & McClaughlin.
Image .. Magnolia, don't know her name, (very bad haven't kept a record of the names!!!) coloured with Distress ink pads, cut out and mounted on a Nestie. I Inked the edges and did some faux stitching.
Sentiment... Whiff of Joy
Flowers .. hand made from Marianne and Crealies dies and a few roses.

Had a bit of a problem, because I assembled it all with the card lying flat, but when I stood it upright.....the balance was way out.... Anyway fixed it up.

I enjoyed this card. Haven't coloured a Maggie for ages and I guess the flowers are a bit much, but I enjoyed myself....

Hope to be back soon. Have fun

Lovely, as always, Ursula. I don't think that it is possible to have too many flowers with a Magnolia image.

I think this is a lovely card and the flowers are magnificent. Love that DP is scalloped - a nice girly touchy. Not too much of anything to me.
