Feeling blue??

Happy Tuesday everyone,

I can hardly believe that this is the last Colour challenge for November at The Outlawz. I hink that my holiday made the time go faster, but December will be a busy time as well.

I had the good fortune of choosing the colours and theme for the challenge this week and I went with a monochrome challenge. I have chosen blue, but you may choose whichever colour you like.

Our sponsors for the last time this month are Newtons's Nook Designs with a prize of $20 store credit.

I used Distress inks in shades of blue to stamp my image. Added some gems and pearl makers.

Papaers are from my stash, with a bit of embossing on the light blue card.

Die cut the sentiment  with Impression Obsession dies.

A colour challenge

Good morning,
I am back again, this time with a colour challenge ( Edited:  sorry had internet problems yesterday...so a day late)

Today we have a lovely inspirational photo from Cara for our colour challenge at The Outlawz.

The sponsor for this month is Newton's Nook Designs

For my card I was inspired by the colours and the dandelions.

I made the background paper by inking with Distress inks and water. Then running it through the Cuttlebug with a Cuttlebug EF. I spritzed some bronze colour and added touches of gold glitter.

The image is Snowday 1, coloured with Distress inkpads and cutout, then mounted with 3D dots.

Sentiment is computer printed.

Christmas is coming

Good morning friends,
Such a beautiful Tuesday with lovely rains again.

Today there is a new challenge starting at Digistamps4Joy  The theme as always is Anything goes, but my teamie Jackie has chosen as an optional twist...Christmas is coming.

There are lovey cards made by the DT for inspiration, but please remember you do have to use an image on your card. It can be a digital or a stamped one.

For my card I have used the image Giraffe Christmas lights

The paper is a cork covered craft paper, with handmade paper embossed with a Christmas folder

The image is coloured with Distress inkpads and glossy accents added to the lights. Cut out with a MFD and mounted on a scalloped oval.

The sentiment stamped onto the oval.

A raffia bow to finish.

I will enter the following challenges:

Craft-Dee Bowz...Anything goes
Craft Your Passion #338...Anything goes
Crafting from the Heart #135...Anything goes

New images today at DS4J

Good morning friends and a happy Sunday to you all,

It is  a beautiful day and we have had some very much needed rain, so the gardens are rejoicing. We still need a lot to fill the dams and break the drought.

Today there are a number of new images being released at Digistamsp4Joy..lovely Christmas images.

The DT have used these and made some awesome cards for inspiration, so do pop over HERE and feast your eyes.

I have used the image Red Robin Applique bird for my card but didn't use it for a Christmas card.

The papers I used are from a vintage paper bloc. I used a piece to print my image onto and then cut it out and put it onto the printed image....no colouring for me this time.

The sentiment is computer generated and I can put whatever message,....birthday, get well soon or whatever on the inside.

I will enter the following challenges:

All Sorts challenge   #389...Feature a creature
Brown Sugar #224...Anything goes
Crafting with Friends #31...Anything goes
Crafty Catz #346...Anything goes
PDE Linky Party #146...All cards
Simply Papercrafts</a> #40...Just for fun

Have a wonderful Sunday and a great week. Will see you soon.

Colour challenge with snowflakes

Hello friends,
I am back after our lovely holiday to The Netherlands and The Black Forest. It takes a bit of time to get back into the normal routine, so after a few days of spending more time resting than doing...we arrived back to a heatwave of 32/34 deg. C...I think I am now ready to get back to doing my usual challenges.

This week my teamie AJ has chosen the colour palette and the twist to add snowflakes. Use at least 3 of the colours on your project.

Our sponsor for this month is Newton's Nook Designs with a $20 store credit for the prize.

Having just got back I took the easy way out and I do need tags for my Christmas gifts, so this is what I decided to make.

I coloured a tag that I had in my stash, with distress inks.

Found some paper in my stash with the colours I needed. Rounded the corners, added glitter and a snowflake embellishment.

Added peel-off words and green twine.

Will enter it into some challenges in a short while.

It's great to be back and thanks for looking. Have a wonderful week and see you soon.

Love Ursula

Memories of a great holiday

Good morning friends,
It has been a while since I have been on here. Hubby and I had a lovely holiday with the family in The Netherlands and a great week walking in the Black Forest.

We were away for almost 6 weeks and had lots of fun with the family also celebrating our grandson Joshua's birthday.  Just a few photos.

First some walking in the area where our family lives. Mijdrecht, The Netherlands.
Then onto The Black Forest

Wooden carvings made from logs on one of the walks.

Scenes from some other walks. Beautifully decorated houses.

A beautiful picturesque area to walk in.

 And special family time

Thanks for looking at these photographic memories of our trip. We now look forward to the next holiday in 2017 to New Zealand with other members of the family.

Will be back soon with my usual card posting.

Love Ursula
